HOT HONEY BROWN BUTTER

Hot Honey Brown Butter

A quick and easy buttery spread to add to any savoury table setting. 

Why serve regular butter at your holiday feast when you can serve Hot Honey Brown Butter?! If you haven’t been delighted by browning your butter yet, you're in for a toasty treat! This quick and easy method creates a deliciously toasted whipped butter with a hint of sweet heat by using our Hot Honey. A perfect companion to slather over your side of cornbread.

 

Ingredients:

  • 2 lb unsalted butter

  • 1 jar provisions Hot Honey

  • 100ml lemon juice 


Instructions:

  1. Take 1lb (half) of the butter and warm to room temperature.

  2. Take the other 1lb (half) of the butter and add to a small sauce pot. Turn the burner on medium-low, and allow the butter to melt. 

  3. The butter will begin to separate into milk and fat. Continue to keep the butter on low and stir every once and a while until the mixture begins to brown and become nutty in fragrance. 

  4. Once browned, remove from heat and allow this mixture to cool to room temperature.

  5. In a stand mixer combine the room temperature butter and the browned butter and whip with the whisk attachment until they become one homogeneous mixture. 

  6. Slowly drizzle in the provisions of Hot Honey, and 100ml lemon juice. 

  7. Spread on the provisions cornbread and enjoy.
