SWEET SESAME PAN ROASTED BRUSSEL SPROUTS
Sweet Sesame Pan Roasted Brussel Sprouts
Our chef crafted sweet-umami glazed Brussel Sprout recipe is a side dish that we couldn't help devouring.
We've tasked our in house chef - Matt Krupa - with creating the ultimate holiday feast using a Provisions Product in every dish. We had high expectations, but even we were blown away by the results! Tossed in a glossy glaze of Red Pepper Jelly, and a hint of soy and fish sauce, this side dish delivered a delightful balance of sweetness and umami, and a guaranteed pop of flavour.
Ingredients:
- 6-8 ounces brussel sprouts
- 4-6 minced garlic cloves
- 200ml soy sauce
- 1 tsp fish sauce
- 3 tbsp toasted sesame seeds
- 1 bunch green onions sliced finely as possible
- 1 125ml jar Provisions Red Pepper Jelly
Instructions:
- Wash and halve the brussel sprouts.
- In a large skillet on medium heat, heat enough vegetable oil to cover the bottom of the pan. When you see the pan just start to smoke, add the brussels sprouts cut side down. Sear this side until they are well browned.
- Turn sprouts over, flipping them cut side facing up and cook until rounded side gets a little colour.
- Add in soy sauce and fish sauce, and quickly add in 1full jar of provisions Red Pepper Jelly.
- Allow the jelly to melt into the soy sauce and cook to create a sticky glaze over the brussel sprouts, tossing the whole mixture together to make sure everything is well coated.
- Place in a serving dish. Garnish with toasted sesame seeds and sliced green onions.
- Serve hot, and enjoy!
