BRAISED BEEF SHORT RIB WITH FRENCH ONION JUS

There's nothing quite like the warm, comforting taste of homemade cornbread in just in just 30 minutes using our Cornbread dry mix! A classic Southern side dish made easy north of the border! Serve simply with honey butter or go all out and serve alongside BBQ'd meats, fried chicken, coleslaw and baked beans for the ultimate feast.
1 ¼ (300 mL) cup milk
1 egg
¼ cup (60 mL) vegetable oil
1 box cornbread mix
2 Tbsp (30 mL) butter
1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
2. Whisk the milk, egg, and oil in a large bowl.
3. Add the cornbread mix to wet ingredients and stir until just combined. Do not over mix.
4. Heat a 10 inch cast iron pan over high heat and add the butter. Tilt the pan to coat the bottom and sides until it is fully melted.
5. Pour the batter into the hot pan and place in the oven. Bake for 20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
6. Cut the cornbread into wedges and serve with butter or Provisions Red Pepper Jelly.
