The iced latte that converted us to matcha.
Vanilla bean and matcha belong together - we're convinced of it. Provisions Vanilla Bean Craft Coffee Syrup softens the earthy edge of ceremonial matcha into something smooth, lightly sweet, and genuinely worth waking up for. Cool, calm, and ready in minutes.
Ingredients
- 1–1.5 tsp matcha powder
- 2 tbsp hot water (not boiling - around 175°F)
- 1–2 tbsp Provisions Vanilla Bean Craft Coffee Syrup
- ¾–1 cup milk of choice
- Ice
How to Make It
- Whisk matcha powder with hot water until smooth and frothy.
- Fill a glass with ice and pour in your milk and Vanilla Bean Syrup. Stir to combine.
- Pour the matcha gently over top. Stir lightly before drinking.
Why It Works
Ceremonial grade matcha has a grassy, slightly bitter edge that plays beautifully against something sweet and round. Vanilla bean is its natural counterpart. Warm where matcha is cool, smooth where matcha is sharp. The syrup also does the work of both sweetener and flavour, so there's nothing extra to measure.
A note on milk: Oat milk makes this especially creamy and keeps the matcha colour vivid. Full-fat dairy works beautifully too - just expect a richer, slightly warmer finish.
